Welcome to the home of Ebony Ster Friesians. Based in Southern Alberta in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, we are a small family farm focused on a breeding program to strengthen & protect the integrity of the FHANA registered Friesian breed.

I bought my first Friesian mare in
November of 2007, making my dreams come true and bringing to life the
concept of Ebony Ster Friesians.
Though the farm only consists of three breeding mares at this point we are continuously searching for that next beautiful girl to catch our eye!
We have selected only mares that have received the prestigious Dutch title of 'Ster' (pronounced 'Star') for breeding stock. To be awarded this title, the horses are judged on conformation and movement and only a slight 20 - 30% of mares shown will ever receive the Ster status. We carefully select only FHANA approved Friesian stallions that will enhance our mares to produce athletic and conformationally correct future Ster prospects to add to our collection---or yours.
